The working principle of this new\nlaser application is to apply laser with very short pulses. In this way, it is aimed to cool the\ntissue in short intervals. Less tissue damage is provided by these short intervals, which\nallows the tissue to cool down. While energy reaches the tissue uninterruptedly during a\nlaser pulse in traditional lasers, energy is sent in packets in micropulse or subliminal\nlasers.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2 class=\"brk-dark-font-color font__size-16 font__weight-normal line__height-26\"><span class=\"font__weight-bold\">CONVENTIONAL THERMAL LASERS AND THEIR EFFECTS<\/span><\/h2>\n<p class=\"brk-dark-font-color font__size-16 font__weight-normal line__height-26 mb-10\"><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">Conventional thermal lasers have been used safely and effectively in vascular diseases of\nthe retina. Among the main retinal diseases in which laser treatment is applied:<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"brk-dark-font-color font__size-16 font__weight-normal line__height-26\"><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">- Diabetic retinopathy (retinal bleeding and obstruction due to diabetes)<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"brk-dark-font-color font__size-16 font__weight-normal line__height-26\"><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">- Hypertensive retinopathy<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"brk-dark-font-color font__size-16 font__weight-normal line__height-26\"><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">- Retinal vascular occlusion<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"brk-dark-font-color font__size-16 font__weight-normal line__height-26\"><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">- Retinal arterial macroaneurysm (RAM)<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"brk-dark-font-color font__size-16 font__weight-normal line__height-26 mb-20\"><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">- Central serous retinopathy<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"col-12 col-lg-12 mb-20\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-1637\" src=\"http:\/\/healthtourismcenterturkey.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/09\/micropulse-laser-treatment.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"1058\" height=\"802\" srcset=\"https:\/\/healthtourismcenterturkey.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/09\/micropulse-laser-treatment.jpg 1058w, https:\/\/healthtourismcenterturkey.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/09\/micropulse-laser-treatment-300x227.jpg 300w, https:\/\/healthtourismcenterturkey.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/09\/micropulse-laser-treatment-1024x776.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/healthtourismcenterturkey.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/09\/micropulse-laser-treatment-768x582.jpg 768w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 1058px) 100vw, 1058px\" \/><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"overflow-hid position-static position-lg-relative pb-100\">\n<p class=\"brk-dark-font-color font__size-16 font__weight-normal line__height-26 mb-10\"><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">Besides the beneficial effects of conventional thermal lasers, some side effects arise due\nto the enlargement or deepening of burns caused by heat (Figure 2).\nAmong them:<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"brk-dark-font-color font__size-16 font__weight-normal line__height-26\"><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">Visual field defects (Figure 3)<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"brk-dark-font-color font__size-16 font__weight-normal line__height-26\"><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">Decreased color vision<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"brk-dark-font-color font__size-16 font__weight-normal line__height-26\"><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">Decreased contrast sensitivity (sharpness)<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"brk-dark-font-color font__size-16 font__weight-normal line__height-26\"><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">Formation of new vessels in the deep layers (choroidal neovascularization- CNV) and\nrelated bleeding<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"brk-dark-font-color font__size-16 font__weight-normal line__height-26\"><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">Wound healing (epiretinal fibrosis) can lead to wrinkles on the retinal surface and be a\ncause of crooked vision.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"brk-dark-font-color font__size-16 font__weight-normal line__height-26\"><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">Retinal fluid accumulation due to excessive laser application (serous retinal detachment)<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"brk-dark-font-color font__size-16 font__weight-normal line__height-26 mb-30\"><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">Due to these side effects and the fact that patients may feel pain due to the increase in\ntemperature during application, subthreshold lasers have been developed with shorter\nlaser pulses and that can act without burning the applied tissue. Subliminal or micropulse\nlasers are other names of subthreshold lasers<\/span><\/p>\n<h2 class=\"brk-dark-font-color font__size-16 font__weight-normal line__height-26\"><span class=\"font__weight-bold\">WORKING PRINCIPLES AND APPLICATION AREAS OF MICROPULSE-SUBLIMINAL\nLASERS<\/span><\/h2>\n<p class=\"brk-dark-font-color font__size-16 font__weight-normal line__height-26 mb-30\"><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">These new technology lasers are lasers with very short pulses and allow the tissue to cool\ndown in between the pulses. These lasers can also be called \u201cpulsed\u201d lasers. Energy\nreaches the tissue uninterruptedly during a laser pulse in conventional lasers, whereas\nenergy is sent in packets (including on and off times) in micropulse or subliminal lasers\n(Figure 4). This allows the support cells called retinal pigment epithelium (RPE) just below\nthis layer to be stimulated without causing an increase in temperature in the very sensitive\nretinal tissue (Figure 5). As a result of this stimulation, some special substances are\nsecreted at the cellular level and leakage, bleeding, and etc. in the diseased area will heal.\nThis effect is called \"biostimulation\" (Figure 6).<\/span><\/p>\n<h2 class=\"brk-dark-font-color font__size-16 font__weight-normal line__height-26\"><span class=\"font__weight-bold\">ADVANTAGES OF MICROPULSE-SUBLIMINAL LASERS<\/span><\/h2>\n<p class=\"brk-dark-font-color font__size-16 font__weight-normal line__height-26\"><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">Can be applied without leaving any traces on the retina unlike conventional lasers. Cold\nlasers do not damage the retina.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"brk-dark-font-color font__size-16 font__weight-normal line__height-26\"><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">Re-application is possible to the same area over and over again: Micropulse-subliminal\nlasers can be safely applied to the same area over and over again, as they do not leave\nany visible damage to the retinal tissue. This increases the effectiveness of treatment.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"brk-dark-font-color font__size-16 font__weight-normal line__height-26\"><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">Effective in all kinds of vascular retinal diseases: It is applied effectively and reliably in\nmany vascular diseases of the retina such as diabetes, retinal vascular occlusion, retinal\nlayer separation (SSR), retinal aneurysms.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"brk-dark-font-color font__size-16 font__weight-normal line__height-26\"><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">Can be combined with intraocular injections: Cold lasers together with intraocular\ninjections can be applied in the treatment of many retinal diseases, which increases the\neffectiveness of the treatment and enables us to obtain better visual results.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Retina tabakas\u0131na uygulanan lazer tedavileri a\u00e7\u0131s\u0131ndan yeni bir teknoloji olan Micropulse Laser doku hasarlar\u0131n\u0131n minimum seviyede olmas\u0131n\u0131 sa\u011flamak i\u00e7in geli\u015ftirilmi\u015ftir.
